Hi everyone and welcome to the launch of my brand-new blog!
I wanted to take the opportunity to chat to you today and tell you all about my Edinburgh based photography business.
My photography career started about 12 years ago when I volunteered as a photographer for my children’s nursery. Since then I haven’t looked back and I now run my very own successful photography business, working out of Summerhall in Edinburgh.
Ever since I first picked up my camera, photography has mirrored my life. For years my work mainly consisted of children’s photography because my life revolved around my own children. Now that they are grown-up, I’ve found that I have time to re-discover some of my own interests and my photography is evolving as a result.
While I continue to cater for families and couples looking for lifestyle shoots, my work has recently expanded. These days, I predominantly produce dance and model portfolio content. This includes studio and location work for adults and children alike. On top of this, I also offer commercial and branding bookings.
Like I said, I know that my work has changed over the years, so I wanted to use this first blog post to share a bit more about my dance, model, commercial and branding work.
Currently, I am one of the few photography business in Edinburgh that provides a portfolio building service for models. I have recently been working with Model Team to create collections that help to boost local models’ careers. I offer more than just a standard portfolio shoot. I work to offer you images that are truly creative, modern and unique!
I also believe that my position as a female photographer allows me to create distinctive images from a feminine perspective. This stance allows me to capture your best and most complimentary angles.
Of course, this also applies to my dance portfolio shoots. I’ve been working with Edinburgh Dance Academy and others this past year to create some really exciting images!
Last but not least, commercial and branding shoots. As a small business myself I have come to learn how important images can be in creating your brand. I feel passionate about helping other local businesses achieve their goals and offer packages that produce images that can be used for e-commerce, advertising, marketing and more.
